We're located at Sherman Oaks Center for Enriched Studies, or SOCES [SO⋅SIS] for short. SOCES is a Title I magnet school in the center of the San Fernando Valley. Since we're a magnet school, our members live anywhere from South Central LA to Thousand Oaks.

First Tech Challenge is a school year long competition, during which teams comprised of under 16 students are tasked with a building a robot that can effectively compete in that season's "game." Students will then compete in live matches against other teams to determine placements and advancements. Students in grades 7-12 are allowed to compete. More information can be found here.

Currently, we compete in unofficial teams amongst ourselves, however we plan to create official teams for the 2026-2027 season.
